There are, however, three things that you can do yourself to ensure your system keeps working.
1. Clean the coils on the condenser. The condenser is the unit that is outside, perhaps on a wall.
2. Check that the condensate drain is clear and condensation is able to get outside.
3. Change your air filter regularly as per the manufacturers recommendations.
