How we use cookies

A cookie is a small file which asks permission to be placed on your computer’s hard drive. Once you agree, the file is added, and the cookie helps analyse web traffic or lets you know when you visit a particular site. Cookies allow web applications to respond to you as an individual. The web application can tailor its operations to your needs, likes and dislikes by gathering and remembering information about your preferences.  We use traffic log cookies to identify which pages are being used. This helps us analyse data about web page traffic and improve our website in order to tailor it to customer needs. We only use this information for statistical analysis purposes and then the data is removed from the system.  Overall, cookies help us provide you with a better website, by enabling us to monitor which pages you find useful and which you do not. A cookie in no way gives us access to your computer or any information about you, other than the data you choose to share with us.  You can choose to accept or decline cookies. Most web browsers automatically accept cookies, but you can usually modify your browser setting to decline cookies if you prefer. This may prevent you from taking full advantage of the website.

Links to other websites

Our website may sometimes contain links to other websites of interest. However, once you have used these links to leave our site, you should note that we do not have any control over that other website. Therefore, we cannot be responsible for the protection and privacy of any information which you provide whilst visiting such sites and such sites are not governed by this privacy statement. Cookies Policy

A cookie is a small text file that’s stored on your computer by a website to remember certain information. Cookies can be used for many purposes, and are essential to the way the website works. We use them to personalise your experience on our site and to allow you to make purchases. Cookies don’t store your payment information or personal details.

There are two main types of cookies:

‘Session’ cookies are removed from your computer when you close your browser.

‘Persistent’ cookies stay on your computer for a little while longer, until they expire after a fixed time. These are used to store information between your browsing sessions, such as your preferred settings on a website or the items that you added to your basket on your last visit.

Some cookies are necessary to carry out actions that you’ve specifically asked the site to do, such as adding items to your basket and checking out. Without these cookies, the checkout process won’t work and you wouldn’t be able to buy anything. For this reason, we are able to use these cookies without explicitly asking your permission. These are session cookies, and are removed when you leave the site or close your browser.

If you wish to disable cookies when browsing our site, you’ll need to turn them off according to your relevant browser.

When we do use cookies, we do so for the following purposes:

To remember your language and country preferences on the site

To track customer behaviour such as the pages visited on your way through the site. This helps us to improve the site and your browsing experience. This tracking information isn’t linked to any of your personal details and doesn’t allow us to identify you as an individual.

Our site also uses some third-party tools such as affiliate marketing, and recommendations and review services. These third-parties may also place cookies on the site.
